For the past 14 years, I’ve been donating a portion of my income to the most effective charities. In 2020, I gave $20,000. If you are interested in donation, I would recommend looking into the cost-effectiveness of the charity you are donating to (e.g. how many lives are saved per $10,000 donated). Most people who donate to charity do zero research into the actual impact their donation will have. As a result, the charity sector is quite inefficient; we could be doing a whole lot more good!
